The psychotherapy of children and adolescents differs significantly from adults’ psychotherapy, in particular concerns to therapists, the relationship and cooperation with parents, because the cooperation with parents depends on the acceptance of the therapy itself.
The program of integrative psychotherapy for children and adolescents is based on the developmental approach of children and youth, incorporating a humanistic and integrative approach (Gestalt, TA, IA), and Self psychology, intrasubjective theory and relationship theory.
The education lasts 2 to 4 years depending on the direction and the previous education, and after completing the education and passing the exam candidates will receive a European license for the competence of a child and adolescent integrative psychotherapist.
