The sixth module of the educational program “Here and Now” has been focused on virtual crisis interventions included introducing participants to various forms of violence against children. Types of violence are presented through definitions, indicators for identifying child victims in various forms of violence, as well as the short-term and long-term consequences that violence leaves on children. Risk factor also highlighted the issue of violence in the current health crisis, and the expected increase violence against children. The module also dealt with the topic of high conflict divorce and their impact on the mental health of children in crisis.
Trainees are presented with practical skills and tools to help them protect the child from violence with a timely and adequate response and reduce the possible harmful effects on the mental health of the child. Also, the emphasis was on the importance of inter-institutional cooperation in protect the child from violence.
