The training was held on the topic Basic Skills in the Treatment of Children on the Move and Recovery Plan, organized by Médecins du Monde.
The training was intended for professionals (psychologists, psychotherapists, pedagogues, and social workers) who provide psychosocial support to children on the move in migrant camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. The cooperation between Médecins du Monde and BHIDAPA began in January 2021 with the aim of strengthening the capacities of professionals for the specific treatment of children and adolescents on the move, both accompanied and unaccompanied, in preserving mental health.
Between January and December 2021, four three-day trainings were held.
We would like to express our gratitude to Médecins du Monde for their cooperation and trust, as well as to all esteemed colleagues for their motivation and readiness for personal and professional growth and development, and for everything they do for children on the move.
The training was led by Mirela Badurina and Sabina Zijadić-Husić, psychotherapists, trainers, and supervisors, while the guest lecturer was Prof. Dr. Mirjana Graovac, child and adolescent psychiatrist and psychotherapist.
