About the Education/Training
The results of the completion of the Virtual Crisis Interventions “Here&Now” project initiated the need for continuation of work with professionals who had been participants until then. Support for the established interdisciplinary network of professionals in protecting children’s mental health in BiH, directed toward strengthening community resilience in providing early interventions, promoting mental health of children, adolescents and their families, is the continuation of our joint activities.

The ultimate goal of the project is to provide support to the established interdisciplinary network of professionals in BiH, through strengthening community resilience capacity in providing early intervention, promoting mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, adolescents and their families. The Interdisciplinary Network of Professionals “Here&Now” project encompasses three phases of project activities:
- Phase: Creation and implementation of two cycles of on-line education-training for professionals from mental health centers, social work centers and the educational sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Phase: Mental health screening of children and adolescents with the aim of further systematic planning and creation of preventive programs – central phase of the Project
- On-line Conference – output phase of the Project
The education/training cycle lasts 2 months and encompasses seven full-day thematic modules and is based on an integrative-holistic and humanistic approach, salutogenically oriented and enables the strengthening of the interdisciplinary network of professionals in BiH, now and in the future. The leaders of the education program are members and associates of the professional multidisciplinary team of BHIDAPA.

Problem Identification and Response to the Situation
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, there is great pressure on our children and their relationships with family, peers and their communities, which is reflected on all professionals who encounter children in their daily work.
This pressure and uncertainty can leave long-lasting effects on the mental health of both children and adults, especially professionals who deal with the protection and preservation of mental health of children, adolescents and families.
Building on research from around the world and clinical work with the child population that has experienced the stress of social isolation, poverty, stigma and violence (Ungar, 2020) indicates that resilience is much more than a child’s personal ability to overcome adversity. Instead, resilience is a reflection of how well families, schools, service providers and communities work together to create opportunities for children and young people to move toward the resources needed for wellbeing, while making those resources available in a way that young people experience as meaningful.
BHIDAPA is able with its multidisciplinary professional team and associates to realize specific education/training: Interdisciplinary Network of Professionals “Here&Now”, intended for professionals in social work centers, mental health centers, educational institutions in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The problems we face during the COVID-19 pandemic are increasingly complex and require not only constant upgrading of knowledge and skills of professionals but also strengthening of mutual cooperation.
Specifically created education/training Interdisciplinary Network of Professionals “Here&Now” is based on an integrative-holistic and humanistic approach, salutogenically oriented, according to the Model of preventive programs of “Healthy Development” in professional and educational spaces (Lindstom, B., Eriksson, M., Wikstrom, P., 2014, adapted, Badurina, 2016).
