Projects

  • Together for Every Child’s Mental Wellbeing

The project aims to respond to the needs of the child protection system, which faces challenges in providing timely, coordinated, and recovery-oriented responses in crisis situations, especially for children in vulnerable life circumstances. By strengthening cooperation between the education, health, and social sectors, and fostering a shared understanding of child protection within the context of mental health and psychosocial support, the project strives to contribute to the development of a sustainable, sensitive, and evidence-based model of child protection, with a special focus on early support.

  • Care About Adolescent Girls

The project “Protecting Adolescent Girls” is focused on raising awareness about violence and risks, implementing preventive psychosocial activities, and providing interventions directed at adolescent girls who have survived violence and abuse, with a particular emphasis on sexual abuse.

  • Interdisciplinary Network of Professionals

The “Here & Now” project is an Interdisciplinary Network of Experts established through BHIDAPA’s partnership with UNICEF and the EU. Its goal is to create systemic and cross-sectoral connections between over 400 professionals from the health, education, and social protection sectors. The project enables training in a holistic-integrative approach to protect the mental health of children, youth, and their families in BiH, particularly during crises. The focus is on early interventions, prevention, and strengthening resilience.

  • Virtual Crisis Interventions

With the aim of protecting and reducing the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and their parents, BHIDAPA launched the education program “Virtual Crisis Interventions – Here and Now” on May 21, 2020. This was done in partnership with UNICEF BiH, with the support of USAID, and in cooperation with the relevant ministries in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
