Official promotion of the first generation of child and adolescent integrative psychotherapists in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held on September 30 at 5:30 pm at the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo – E-Net Center.
Bosnian-herzegovinian Association for Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy – BHIDAPA, launched in 2015 the first accredited European educational program in BiH for child and adolescent integrative psychotherapy.
The program was initiated in cooperation with the D.O.M. Institute of Croatia and the EIATSCYP (European Interdisciplinary Association for Therapeutic Services for Children & Young People), in accordance with European standards and recommendations of WHO (World Health Organization).
The need for such an educational program has been shown by worrying research findings that say that almost every fourth child of early adolescence suffers and is at high risk of developing mental disorders, and reports indicate that the greatest deficit is in the mental health professionals of children and adolescents.
The results clearly emphasize the need to raise public awareness of the healthy development of the child, and the development of adequate preventive actions at this age is very important, and above all the education of staff in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy of developmental age.
The European Licensed Education Program has trained candidates to gain professional, research and academic experience with a particular focus on clinical skills.
Lecturers in education are world-renowned experts in the field of neuropsychiatry, psychology, social work, family constellations, psychotherapy from: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, France, Slovenia, United Kingdom and Malta.
The Examining Board, composed of PhD Dubravka Kocijan Hercigonja, MD, neuropsychiatrist and integrative psychotherapist for children and young people-mentor; PhD Vera Daneš Brozek, MD, Pediatric Neuropsychiatrist and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and PhD Lidija Pecotić, Psychologist and Gestalt Psychotherapist, will present, after successfully completed final exam, the First Generation of Graduate Child and Adolescent Integrative Psychotherapists in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Azra Arnautović, Belma Žiga, Đana Lončarica, Mirela Badurina, Mirjana Gavrić – Hopić, Sabina Zijadić – Husić, Selma Gaši, Senka Čimpo i Srebrenka Hota.
