FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF CHILDREN’S AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHOTHERAPY
“A place of psychotherapy in preserving the health and well-being of children and adolescents”
it will be held in Sarajevo, from October 18th to October 21st. 2018.
The opening ceremony of Congress is on Thursday, 18th.

Dramatic changes on a global scale, on the one hand, and progress on the scientific and technological front, on the other hand, inevitably affect all people and aspects of their lives, especially the lives of the most vulnerable part of society, namely children and young people.
It is a great challenge that is placed in front of all experts dealing with the protection of the health of children and youth and their well-being, in the search for new research, preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitation activities that will seek to enable new forms of adaptation that lead to health, in rapid and complex changes.
New scientific findings change our knowledge of children and adolescent psychopathology and something previously understood in the field of children and adolescent mental health and well-being, today we understand in another way.
A virtual world where our children and young people live, refugee crises, war and transgenerational traumas, value systems, bring with them new issues and challenges for professions dealing with the health and well-being of children and adolescents.
Congress aims to highlight the need to increase awareness of all experts in the fields of health, social protection, education and justice
on the importance of multidisciplinary and intersectoral cooperation in the preservation of the health and well-being of children and adolescents.
Healthy growth and development of children and adolescents, and society as a whole, depend heavily on our action today, both in recognizing children’s needs and organizing,
the optimal environment and impact, in particular from the point of view of preventive as well as curative activities.
Congress will be the meeting place of different disciplines, institutions and organisations aimed at preserving the health and well-being of children and adolescents, exchanging experiences, good practices, announced new trends, through numerous presentations by participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Malta, Macedonia, Montenegro, Slovenia, England, Italy, France, Germany, Austria and other European countries, and Canada, United States of America and others.
The topics of exposure come from the fields of health, social protection, education and juvenile justice.
