Educational program: Research, monitoring, reflection and optimization of the process of change in psychotherapy – EAP and Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg

BHIDAPA strengthens the resources of our scientific research center by participating in the 2021 EAP Members’ Training Program in the use of the Synergetic Navigation System (SNS) and in advanced case study formulation methods on the way to personalized psychotherapy within science.

The complexity of changes in psychotherapy are nonlinear, complex and unpredictable processes. Therefore, the processes of psychotherapeutic interventions must be supported and adapted to the dynamics and needs of the client in his ecosystem. This requires a personalized and process-sensitive approach, which includes detailed case formulation, basic psychotherapist competencies and high-frequency assessment of the ongoing process that can be applied to different psychotherapeutic modalities, and they can be the basis of psychotherapeutic training standards and support psychotherapy as a special scientific discipline.

This educational training program enables the application of Internet and App technology based on the Synergetic Navigation System (SNS), which is a personalized and process-sensitive method. In this way, our Center participates in the development and integration of new European standards in research, monitoring and optimizing the process of change in psychotherapy.

It is important that all steps through the training participants can use for themselves to support personal development and can apply it to clients in psychotherapy or counseling treatment and thus monitor the progress of psychotherapy treatment.

The organizers of this educational program are:

  • European Association for Psychotherapy EAP, Peter Schulthess, MSc, Chair SARC (Science and Research Committee) and
  • Institute of Synergetics and Psychotherapy Research, Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg

The head of the educational program is a respected university professor, Univ.-prof. Dr. Günter Schiepek

Venue is: Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg, Austria

In addition to colleagues from Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Slovenia and Croatia, our scientific-professional team with colleagues Mirela Badurina and Sabina Zijadić Husić also participates in the educational program, which includes three modules and a final exam.
