We are pleased to announce the Module on the topic:
“Working with traumatized children and cognitive-behavioral therapy focused on trauma”
which will be held
from 20.-22.04.2018. years.
The module will be led by Prof. dr. Gordana Buljan Flander, psychologist and psychotherapist, Director of the Polyclinic for the Protection of Children and Youth of the City of Zagreb
The module is open primarily to students of the European educational program in children and adolescent integrative psychotherapy and counseling, but also to persons involved in daily work, psychotherapy, treatment, education, education of children and youth, and improving mental health of children and youth and their well-being.
During the module through theoretical presentations, experiential work and exercises, participants will acquire knowledge and skills related to the following topics:
Traumatic experiences of developmental age
Specific methods and therapeutic work with traumatized children
Areas and goals in treatment
The role of the therapist
Stages in the treatment of traumatized child – TF CBT
Empathy in working with abused children
Involvement of the environment in the therapy process
Interventions in the best interests of the child
Parental counseling
Experiences in working with traumatized children at the Polyclinic for the Protection of Children and Youth of the City of Zagreb
The aim is to empower participants to deal with this issue through lectures and workshops, and to deepen their knowledge and skills that will enable them to adequately respond to the needs of traumatized children.
Venue: Youth Center – Otoka (Gatačka 18), entrance from the upper side – first floor.
Dynamics of work of the Open part of the Module:
– Friday from 19.00 – 21:00 (from 17:30 – 19:00 only for students of the Educational Program)
– Saturday from 9.30 to 18:00
– Sunday from 8:30 to 11:30 (from 11:30 to 12:30 only for students of the Educational Program)
Registration fee is 250 KM (for BHIDAPA members – 200 KM), and your place in the training must be registered in advance via link http://www.psychotherapy.ba/prijava-za-modul.php and book by paying an advance in the amount of 100 KM until 04/19/2018. The rest of the payment can be made before the start or during the training. Registration fee includes: Certificate, refreshments during the Module and material. Four (4) vacancies.
