The founder and director of the European Center for Psychotherapeutic Studies (European Center for Psychotherapeutic Studies), an experienced Gestalt and Integrative Psychotherapist, Coach and Supervisor, began his education in the UK in 1970. He was President of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) in 1994, founded and presided over the European Association for Integrative Psychotherapy (1996-1999), and was President of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (2002-2008).

The director of the Polyclinic for the Protection of the Children of the City of Zagreb thirty years of her career deals with children. Therefore, she was among the first to recognize this issue in Croatia in the early ’90s and dedicate her further work to her.

She spent most of her working life as head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Sarajevo. According to her educational orientation, she belongs to the School of Psychodynamic Orientation.

Head of the Department for Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Tufts Medical Center, USA. He is a professor of psychiatry and pediatrics at the Tufts Medical School, USA. He was Director of “Hope System”, a center for caring for children with emotional problems. He deals with the psychotherapy of children and adolescents, and his special interests are traumas, eating disorders, suicides of children and adolescents, family therapy and the development of international mental health programs for children and adolescents. He has published over 70 articles and books on children’s mental health. President of the American Academy of Family Therapy.

Na Albert Elis institutu u Nju Jorku stiče status akreditovanog internacionalnog supervizora za edukaciju iz racionalno-emotivne i kognitivno-bihejvioralne terapije. Registrovao je prvu privatnu psihološku praksu u Bosni i Hercegovini Savjetovanje Krnetić. Zaposlen na Univerzitetu u Banjoj Luci, u zvanju profesora na predmetima iz oblasti psihoterapije i psihopatologije. Predsjednik je Bosansko-hercegovačkog udruženja za kognitivno-bihejvioralnu terapiju, predstavnik u Udruženju za kontekstualnu bihejvioralnu nauku (Association for Contextual Behavioral Science) i zvanični predstavnik Bosne i Hercegovine u Evropskom udruženju za bihejvioralne i kognitivne terapije (European Association for Behaviour and Cognitive Therapies).

Subspecijalizaciju iz psihoterapije započinje 2007. godine, te 2009. godine polaže
subspecijalistički ispit. Pitanjima seksualnosti, kao i transrodnosti i transseksualnosti dr. Arbanas bavi se unazad petnaest godina. Završio je edukaciju iz seksualne terapije i jedan je od osnivača Hrvatskog društva za seksualnu terapiju, kojem je od osnutka do danas predsjednik. Također je završio edukacije iz seksualne medicine te sudjeluje u radu Europske seksološke federacije, u komisiji za edukaciju iz seksualne terapije. Godine 2012. položio je europski specijalistički ispit iz seksualne medicine i stekao naziv FECSM.
