Mr.sc. Lejla Šabanagić

Master's degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology


Lejla Sabanagic-Hadzic (1972) was born in Sarajevo, where she finished elementary school and gymnasium. She graduated in Psychology from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo in 1997.
In 2005, she completed a Postgraduate study organized in cooperation between the University of Sarajevo and Umeå University and obtained a Master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology.
Since 1997, she has been employed as a psychologist at the Health Center – Center for Mental Health, where she deals primarily with the population of children and adolescents. She provides psychodiagnostic work, psychological counseling for children and parents, conducts promotional activities in schools, and cooperates with other institutions such as centers for social work, judiciary, police, and media.
As part of her professional development, she attended numerous educational and training programs and participated in seminars, congresses, and symposia in the Field of Mental Health of children and adolescents.
She works as a consultant at the BHIDAPA Center, where she provides professional assistance through psychological assessments.
She is married and a mother of one child.
